China: New investors in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges recorded a monthly increase of 36.38% in November

An estimated 1.34 million new investors in China opened shares in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges in November, according to official figures.

This development launched a monthly increase of 36.38% in the number of new investors compared to October, according to China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (CSDC).

At the end of last month, the number of investors with stock purchase accounts was recorded at 196 million, according to CSDC data.

About 18.26 million new investors entered the Chinese stock market in January-November 2021, surpassing the total number of new investors registered in 2020, with a record number of new investors, compared to 2017.
