China: Plans vaccination stations for its citizens abroad

Its Foreign Minister Of ChinaWang Yi said today that his country, which has developed several vaccines domestically, plans to set up vaccination stations against Covid-19 to vaccinate Chinese citizens abroad.

Speaking at the full-length press conference once a year, Wang said the program would be available in countries where conditions allow.

In the same interview, the top Chinese diplomat said Beijing was willing to communicate with the United States on the basis of mutual respect and hoped that Washington would lift all “irrational” restrictions on cooperation as soon as possible.

He added that the differences between China and the United States should be carefully managed and that the two sides should support healthy competition and not blame each other uselessly.

On the issue of Taiwan, which China considers its territory, Wang said there is no room for compromise and that Beijing hopes to see Washington distance itself from the previous US administration’s practice of dealing with Taiwan.

On Hong Kong, the Chinese foreign minister said his electoral system needed to be improved for long-term stability, that changes to it were constitutional and justified, and that the reform would bring a “brighter future” for the city.

Wang Yi also said that some Western politicians choose to believe lies about the western Chinese region of Xinjiang, where the Uighur Muslim minority lives, and stressed that China would welcome more visits to the region. The US Secretary of State and the parliaments of Canada and the Netherlands have called China’s treatment of Uighurs a genocide.

Regarding Iran, the Chinese minister said that he hopes that the US will lift the unjustified sanctions against him, but added that Iran also needs to take responsibility in this process.

Regarding Myanmar, Wang Yi said Beijing was ready to contact all parties involved to ease the situation in the country where the military came to power in a coup last month, while stressing that China is a friend. with the whole of Myanmar.
