Wang’s video diaries, however, went viral on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, and the related hashtag has been viewed more than 5 million times across China. The woman’s sudden notoriety has also created some embarrassment to her potential suitor, who asked her to remove some videos. “His friends called him and I think this experience definitely affected his life, so I have deleted the videos for now,” Wang explained in a new video. “Thank you all for your attention … I hope the epidemic ends soon and that my single sisters will find a boyfriend soon too.”
