Chinese President Xi Jinping said the country will share the opportunities of the large Chinese market with the world, modernize the trade of goods and accelerate the construction of a strong domestic market, adhering to the “correct direction of economic globalization”.
The speech was made this Friday (4) at the opening of the China International Import Exhibition.
According to the president, “the world is undergoing rapid changes, and the world economy is insufficient for recovery”.
In this way, China would use this expansion to alleviate development difficulties, seek cooperation, strengthen international development, and pursue “fairer and more equitable achievements”.
Xi Jinping also highlighted that China is willing to practice “genuine multilateralism”, highlighting a trans-Pacific partnership and digital economy agreements.
