China’s Wuling HongGuang Mini EV electric convertible will go on sale in Europe next year. Only the price will be 20,000 euros instead of 4300 dollars
A new version of China’s most popular electric vehicle, the compact Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, debuted at the recently concluded Shanghai Motor Show. The novelty has lost its hard roof and naturally received the word Cabrio in the name. A car with a single electric motor with a power of 20 hp, a top speed of 100 km / h and a power reserve of 120 km is estimated in China at $ 4300, mass production and sales will start next year. And next year, the novelty will appear in Europe – through the efforts of the Latvian company Dartz Motorz Company.
It must be said that Dartz Motorz is already selling the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, that is, a conventional version of an electric vehicle with a metal roof. True, under a different name, Freze Nikrob, and for completely different money: 10,000 euros against 4000 dollars, which are asked for a car in China. And now Dartz Motorz has a plan to bring a Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Cabrio to Europe in the middle of next year – under the designation FreZe Froggy and with a mind-boggling price of about 20,000 euros! How popular this ultra-compact (and even niche) electric car will turn out to be in Europe at this price is a big question.
