Chinese automakers continue to expand into the Russian market. This time, the Skywell brand opened its representative office in Russia, which decided to enter the domestic market with the ET5 electric crossover.
ET5 is not just the first Skywell car on the Russian market, but the real first-born and flagship of the Chinese brand. He first saw the light in the Middle Kingdom in 2020, and will reach Russia by November 2022. Skywell ET5 is a five-seater modern crossover with an electric power plant with a capacity of 204 hp, front-wheel drive and a range of about 500 km. By the way, Skywell ET5 is already sold in some European markets under the name Elaris Beo.
The manufacturer adapted his crossover specifically for operation on Russian roads and prepared two configurations for the domestic market. The base one will be priced at 4.48 million rubles, and the top one with laser optics, a large panoramic roof and unique fully folding sleeping seats will cost 4.98 million rubles.
Following the Skywell ET5, the HT-i hybrid crossover will appear in Russia in 2023. Its cost and configuration for the new market have not yet been announced.
It should be noted that Skywell has high hopes for the Russian market. During the first year, the Chinese automaker plans to sign an agreement with 30 dealerships and open showrooms in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Krasnodar and other million-plus cities. By the end of 2023, the brand expects to sell more than three thousand of its cars in Russia.
