Chinese BSN platform adds Casper support

The developers of the state-owned Chinese platform BSN announced integration with Casper Network, a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus blockchain using developments for Ethereum.

According to a statement from Casper Network, the integration means the Casper network will be available to developers at BSN after the launch of the main network in the first quarter of 2021. The partnership is part of BSN’s plan to become a global blockchain infrastructure provider.

The government-backed project aims to offer cloud services and a standardized development environment in which developers of decentralized applications (dApps) on different blockchains can build or run their decentralized applications on a single platform.

“Casper is the first fully decentralized, scalable and highly secure PoS blockchain,” said Mrinal Manohar, CEO and co-founder of CasperLabs. “Through our close partnership with BSN, we look forward to furthering the adoption of this important technology in global markets.”

Recently it was announced that BSN will add support for digital currencies of various countries, and in November BSN expanded the list of supported projects and integrated Polkadot, Oasis and Bityuan. In addition, consulting giant EY announced last week that it will partner with BSN to bring its OpsChain enterprise blockchain to the Chinese market.
