Chinese mining company BIT Mining expands presence in Kazakhstan

The mining company BIT Mining continues to transfer capacities from China to Kazakhstan, and not only moves the existing equipment, but also buys new for placement in the country.

Currently, 3,819 BIT Mining ASIC miners with a total hash rate of 172 Px / s are located in the data centers of Kazakhstan. Another 4,033 devices with a total hash rate of 121 Px / s have already been sent to Kazakhstan and are being prepared for placement in data centers. Also, 2,500 new ASIC miners were purchased for $ 6.6 million.

The press release does not indicate the brand of the purchased equipment. However, it is known that after placing and launching devices, their total hash rate should be 165 Px / s. Interestingly, the equipment will be delivered within a week, and then the Chinese company will send it to Kazakhstan.

In addition to mining bitcoin, BIT Mining is also involved in mining ETH. Outside of China, the company’s hash rate for the production of the second cryptocurrency is 86.4 Gh / s, and by the end of October this year, the figure will increase by another 4.7 Gh / s.

Against the background of mining bans in China, the hash rate of the network of the first cryptocurrency fell by 45% from peak values ​​- to the level of early 2020. Earlier, Bitmain signed an agreement with Kazakhstan hosting provider Enegix to host Antminer S19 Pro devices.
