Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs: China and the US are not having negotiations on tariffs

Commenting on commercial conversations with the United States (USA), China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that “China and the US are not having any consultation or negotiation on tariffs.

When asked about the tariff exemptions in some US products, the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry said that “I am not familiar with the details, I refer them to the competent authorities.”

Market reaction

The dollar is reducing profits compared to its main peers, with the US dollar index (DXY) by backing to 99.50 at the time of writing. The indicator is still up 0.28% in the day.
