They are exactly twenty-five years what a maison Chopard illuminates and embellishes the Cannes Film Festival. A real one love story the one between the precious brand and the famous film event, which Caroline Scheufele, Artistic Director and Co-President of Chopard, he wanted to celebrate with a special Palme d’Or.
For the occasion, two of its leaves will be studded with diamonds from certified suppliers from Responsible Jewelery Council. One leaf will exhibit 75 diamonds set to symbolize the jubilee of the Festival, while the second will sparkle the 25 diamonds that will immortalize the quarter century of the partnership between the festival and the Maison. In addition, the Fairmined certified ethical 18K yellow gold palm will not be fixed as usual on a rock crystal cushion, but on a base in rose quartz.
The making of
Stone symbol of love, rose quartz not only unites the Festival to the cinema, but also Chopard to the Festival, since that distant 1997, the year in which Caroline Scheufele came out of an appointment with the then President of the event Pierre Viot with a Palme d’Or to be reinvented under the arm.
Since then Chopard has lived this partnership as a love story to be written, and which inspired the theme chosen for this year’s edition in Cannes: Chopard Loves Cinema.
