In Athens, the SDSN Scientific Hub for the climate crisis is to be established. This was noted by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Christos Dimas, in his speech today at the 2nd annual report “Financing the Transformations for the Joint Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the European Green Agreement” organized by UN Network Sustainable Development 10 Regional Growth Conference.
The Undersecretary, in a post on social media, mentions some points from his speech.
As Mr. Dimas stated: “In order to meet more effectively the challenges of our time, such as the energy crisis, the pandemic, or the climate crisis, we must promote joint policy initiatives and invest more in research and innovation.”
He added that “the European Green Agreement is a proposal for cooperation aimed at transforming the EU into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy, protecting the environment” and added that “in Greece we now have the dynamics and tools that can contribute to the goals of green and sustainable development policies “.
The Undersecretary also noted that “in Athens, the SDSN Scientific Hub for the climate crisis is intended to be created, where scientists from all over the world will participate”.
