Chr. Dimas: The goal is for Greece to become the central hub of research and innovation in the Balkans and SE Europe

This is what the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments Christos Dimas notes in his social media post about what he said at the “Ancient Wisdom for Modern Challenges” workshop.

Specifically, Mr. Dimas states:

The scientific hub of the SDSN will be created in Greece, where scientists and researchers from all over the world will gather and submit proposals for the protection of the environment and the climate crisis. SDSN is a solutions network established by the UN to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

In the workshop “Ancient Wisdom for Modern Challenges” I spoke about the leaps of science in ancient Greece and about the contribution of research and innovation in dealing with the challenges of our time. The distinguished economist Professor Jeffrey Sachs, who is the head of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) also participated in the discussion.
