The assessment that “it seems that additional fiscal space is being created in the summer” was expressed by the Minister of Finance Chr. Staikouras, emphasizing that this additional fiscal space will be fully utilized for the benefit of society from September onwards.
Speaking to SKAI, Mr Mr. Staikouras pointed out that the additional fiscal space in March was given to cover 60% of the increases in electricity and in June for the granting of Fuel Pass 2, which is strengthened compared to the previous one.
The Minister of Finance estimated that the amount of inflation expected to be announced will be high, as it is the major problem of the global, European and obviously also the Greek economy.
Mr. Staikouras emphasized that in the everyday life of citizens there have been permanent reductions in taxes and contributions, which means that “he has more money left over in his wallet to do something else, that is, to deal with aspects or part of the accuracy”.
