The need for “European initiatives for energy security and dealing with the energy crisis”, but also better European coordination “in the policies to deal with the economic effects of the energy crisis” was underlined by the Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras, in his statement on the sidelines of the Eurogroup.
In particular, Mr. Staikouras noted: “The European economy is now surrounded by increased risks. Risks in the fields of growth and inflation. The Greek economy, like all European economies, is affected by this exogenous crisis. However, the Greek economy has demonstrated economy, increased endurance and strong dynamics, satisfactory consumption, increased investments, good course of tourism, shrinking unemployment. But European initiatives are needed. European initiatives for energy security and tackling the energy crisis, but also better coordination, European coordination in policies to deal with the economic effects of the energy crisis. We, as a government, will continue to be next to every citizen for as long as necessary within the framework of the country’s fiscal capabilities.”
