Chr. Staikouras: The EU Report records for the next two years a very good fiscal stability for our country

“The report of the European Commission that was recently published records for the next two years for our country estimates and forecasts of a very good fiscal stability” said the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras in response to a topical question of the Greek Solution MP Vassilis Viliardou.

The Minister of Finance, underlined that in the EU Report it is recorded that “the public debt is significantly reduced. Unemployment continues to decrease. Greece will have a rate of economic growth higher than the European average in 2022 and 2023”. He stressed that “the European Commission’s assessments are higher and more positive, than the consistently conservative assessments of the political leadership of the Ministry of Finance”.

Greece, said Mr. Staikouras, will be a champion in investments among all European countries in 2022 and 2023, with a double-digit percentage in 2022 “pointing out that these” are not elements of the Greek Government, but are elements of the European Commission ” .
