It was stressed that the exact limits of subsidized liters per acre and type of crop, combined with the amount declared, will be known after the completion of IACS declarations in October, with the return of the EFC expected to take place in November.
As far as breeders are concerned, it has been announced that the method of calculating the subsidy to cover the increased cost of feed has been changed. Specifically, instead of covering the first quarter of 2022 with 7% of the turnover, the subsidy will now rise to 4% of the turnover of the second half of 2021, with the total cost expected to increase to 40 million euros, from 30 million euros that was until today.
