Chr. Staikouras: The new budget will not have any new taxes

The Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras, referred to the financial data that will be brought by the state budget for 2022 through SKAI TV.

As Mr. Staikouras clarified according to skai.gr, the new budget will not have any new taxes, while on the contrary it will contain additional tax reductions and will include a small budget margin for an additional reduction of ENFIA, in parallel with the existing reduction.

Specifically, as the Minister stated, the additional reduction of ENFIA will be of the order of 60 million euros, without revealing for the time being who will benefit from this reduction:
“By the end of January, we will know who will benefit from the permanent reduction of the total ENFIA”, he noted, emphasizing that on March 22 the objective ones will enter, the scales and rates will change and at the same time there is a plan for ENFIA to be paid in ten installments. “We are getting much closer to our pre-election commitment for a 30% reduction of ENFIA”, he commented.

At the same time, Mr. Staikouras briefly referred to the other arrangements that will be included in the new budget:

– Reduction of the tax of all companies to 22% from 29%.

– Legal reduction of tax advance of all companies from 100% to 80% and to natural persons engaged in business activity to 55%.

– Legal reduction of the taxation of individuals in the lower strata to 9%

– Legal reduction of insurance contributions by 4 percentage points.

Abolition of solidarity contribution for private sector revenues.

– All VAT reductions until June 2022.

Asked to answer the question about a possible 2nd increase of the minimum wage in 2022, the Minister.
