Chr. Triantopoulos: Payment of compensations by ELGA – Over one million euros the amount concerning Magnesia

ELGA is making new payments until Holy Tuesday, April 19, for compensation of livestock and crop production from various damages caused within 2021 (spring frost, heat, hail, rainfall, etc.), as reported in The Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, in charge of State Aid and Rehabilitation from Natural Disasters, Christos Triantopoulos.

Compensation also includes damages caused by the January frost this year. The amount of compensation for farmers and stockbreeders of Magnesia amounts to 1,164,472.86 euros. Referring to the compensations of ELGA, Mr. Triantopoulos stated in this regard:

“Following communication and relevant information from the president of ELGA, Mr. Andreas Lykourentzos, ELGA almost completes the payment of compensation for damages to plant and animal capital due to various adverse events that occurred in 2021, but also Payments to eligible farmers and stockbreeders are expected to be made by Maundy Tuesday, especially for Magnesia, amounting to € 1.16 million, including losses on Pelion chestnut production. and to its president, who, thanks to his intensive actions, quickly completed his assessment work and fulfilled his obligations, supporting the affected farmers and stockbreeders in a timely and fair manner. ”
