Now the one who gave her opinion on the matter was nothing more and nothing less than Rose Rock, the comedian’s mother, who was interviewed by an American news network in recent days, where she confessed that she stayed in shock when he saw the incident and, above all, he expressed how painful it was to see that on television.

When he slapped Chris, he slapped us all. He slapped me. No one paid attention to his speech, no one was able to enjoy the moment because everyone was there trying to process what they had just seen.

Thought it had been planned

Normally, she accompanies Chris to the ceremony, but this year she decided to stay home. Seeing the slap, she thought (like many at the time) that it was a sketch planned comedy, but when Will started yelling obscenities, she realized that he had been serious.

He immediately called his son on the phone and took the opportunity to congratulate him on the grace and integrity with which he faced the uncomfortable situation.
