Christ the Redeemer could show projection for Taylor Swift, suggests Eduardo Paes

Special reception for singer Taylor Swift in Brazil! The artist’s fans are trying to place a themed projection on Christ the Redeemer for the arrival of “The Eras Tour”, the star’s world tour, in Rio de Janeiro. The idea is to show her how welcome she is in the country, in addition to celebrating the six performances that take place on Brazilian soil.

The swifties, as Taylor Swift’s fans are called, went to the social networks of Eduardo Paes, mayor of Rio, to ask him to project onto Christ the image of the t-shirt written “Junior Jewels”, from the music video for “You Belong With Me”. The politician, in turn, said he will try.

“Dear @taylorswift13 fans. I’m going to ask dear Father Omar to see if we can get this honor. He’s the guy who runs the projections at @cristoredentor! In time: his Instagram is @padreomaroficial”, wrote the mayor on Twitter.

Fans are already filling the Padre’s Instagram with requests. In the comments, the swifties argue that several cities paid tribute to the singer, in addition to her boosting the economy, with income and a boost in tourism. The religious man, however, has not yet spoken out.

Taylor Swift performs with “The Eras Tour” in Brazil on the 17th, 18th and 19th in Rio de Janeiro (Nilton Santos Stadium) and the 24th, 25th and 26th in São Paulo (Allianz Parque). Lasting more than three hours, the show also features an opening performance by singer Sabrina Carpenter.
