Designer Christian Loubotin sent a surprise letter to the fan who caught Taylor Swift's broken heel during a show on “The Eras Tour” that took place in November 2023, in Rio de Janeiro.
Despite being pleased to be able to take the piece home, Felipe Conrado even considered selling the jump to contribute to the medical expenses of his cousin, who is facing cancer. However, the story circulated and the designer of the red sole brand himself sent a handwritten letter to share that he would contribute financially towards the treatment.
“We at Christian Louboutin follow all the efforts you made to raise funds for your cousin’s treatment. That's why I'm happy to contribute a donation to the total amount raised for her treatment. May your family find peace and tranquility,” she mentioned.
In its networks, the swiftie shared a photo of the letter and also thanked everyone for the mobilization, which made his story reach the famous French designer.
Despite the unforeseen situation for the singer, the situation yielded a huge “treasure” for Felipe, who was disbelieved when he saw the ornament in his hands. On that occasion, the publicist explained to the CNN how it all happened.
“She stopped exactly in front of me and squatted down. I caught a glimpse of something red. I thought it might be shredded paper or maybe she had stepped on some sticker. I would never have imagined it was the shoe. Then she started moving, got up, turned directly to the side I was standing on and took the leap,” she says.
Asked if there was any confusion or dispute over the object, the fan said that everything went smoothly. “My luck was that I managed to catch it in the air and my hand caught the jump exactly. Three or four people held [também], but I was more firm. I just pulled it and I was kind of paralyzed, thinking: 'I can't believe it' and I ducked to protect myself. But it was pretty peaceful,” she said.
