Church gets ‘Jesus AI’ for confessions – ‘He gave me so much advice’ says worshiper

In an ever-expanding range of tasks that artificial intelligence is taking on, it is now attempting to replace the… almighty. Church in Switzerland uses an artificial hologram of Jesus for confessions by Catholic believers. “I was surprised, it was so easy, and even though it’s a machine, it gave me so much advice,” one worshiper told DW describing his experience at St. Peter’s Church in Lucerne. Called Deus in Machina, the futuristic shrine features a confessional chamber with a screen that projects Jesus’ face through the slit.
