THE Palace Steakhouse located in the iconic neighborhood of Copacabana, in Rio de Janeiro, is the newest Cultural Heritage of the city. The disputed blue plaque, which enshrines the moment, will be delivered this Friday (23/12), 18h with the presence of Mayor Eduardo Paes.
The house is one of the most traditional in the Marvelous City. Founded in 1951 – the same decade as Bossa Nova -, it has always been frequented by big names in Brazilian popular music.
The carioca style conquered national and international critics. The Art Decó hall is decorated with everyday scenes of the Princess of the Sea and the architectural project is signed by Chicô Gouvêa. Frames in black and white photos with details in gold of the buildings in the Lido region – right next to the steakhouse – draw attention and allude to the golden years of the 50s, when the musical style broke out.
“Adding the high quality gastronomy, the collab with renowned chefs and the affectionate service with longtime collaborators, whom I trust a lot; the tripod at Churrascaria Palace – Bossa Nova, Copacabana and Art Decó – transforms our all-you-can-eat meal into a unique experience. Here is a meeting place. There are 70 years of a lot of history with loyal customers, assiduous visitors”, explains Antônio Saraiva, owner of Palace.
Palace’s all-you-can-eat fare costs R$195 per person and includes almost 40 cuts of prime meat, with game being a highlight. Seafood and fresh fish also receive attention and are successful, such as the Purified Oysters from Fazenda Marinha Rota do Sol, in Santa Catarina and the Pirarucu from Sustainable Management in the Amazon.

The Buffet has options that go beyond the classic fresh salads, garnishes and Japanese suggestions. There are dishes that are successful such as Fava with Seafood, Smoked Cod Rice, Shrimp Paulista style and Artichoke Al Sugo. Cheeses, collection of honey from native bees, jamón pata negra, crab cone, among other suggestions are also found there, in addition to desserts to finish.
