A Cinema Week is back! Starting next Thursday (22), cinemas across Brazil will offer their complete film program for a single price of R$12 . The promotion lasts one week, ending on February 28th. The initiative began in 2022 and is already in its fourth edition.
Cinema Week is a partnership between National Federation of Cinema Exhibition Companies (FENEC), with support from Brazilian Association of Cinema Exhibition Companies Multiplex Operators (ABRAPLEX).
The networks that are part of ABRAPLEX participate in the promotion: Cinemark, Cinépolis, UCI, Cinesystem, GNC, Moviecom, Arteplex, Cineart, Itaú Cinemas, Petra Belas Artes, Cine Marquise It is Playart.
The promotion is valid for all sessions in traditional 2D and 3D rooms. Participating chains will also have special popcorn and drink combos, which differ in price. The information is contained on the official websites of each.
The program includes films that promise to please all types of audiences and ages, with national and international features, such as “Ferrari”, “Madame Teia”, “Bob Marley – One Love”, in addition to the national production “ Nosso Lar 2” , the animation “The Boy and the Crane” and “Baghead”, for fans of horror films.
According to a survey carried out by the National Cinema Agency (Ancine), there was a 17% increase in the number of people in cinemas in 2023, compared to 2022. Cinema Week comes, then, with the aim of continuing with the encouragement and democratization of culture.
“We are going to celebrate the magic of cinema, move theaters across the country and guarantee even more entertainment opportunities for all Brazilians”, says Marcos Barros, president of ABRAPLEX in a press release.
