Cinemas are not needed: 5 new films that you can already watch online

In the crazy rhythm of modern life, it is sometimes so important to stop abruptly, exhale corny and just relax for at least one evening. What could be better for this than watching a good movie? Just watch it on your favorite couch, surrounded by home comfort and delicious food, of course! The main thing is the absence of an annoying “neighbor” in the cinema hall on the first row, who by all means needs to get up every five minutes. It’s good that today digital premieres of new films take place almost every day, and many are immediately available for viewing on the web.

The Day After Tomorrow (Aftersun, 2022, 13+)

  • IMDb: 7.5

The plot of the film revolves around a young father named Calum and his 11-year-old daughter Sophie. By the end of the summer holidays, he took her with him on vacation to Turkey. There, the couple have fun, relax and take turns filming their joint pastime. Father and daughter look like best friends, and therefore they are sometimes confused with brother and sister. Gradually, the colors thicken. The closer Calum’s birthday is, the more often tensions arise in their relationship. This is due to the psycho-emotional state of the hero, which he did his best to hide from his daughter for many years. From time to time, an adult Sophie appears on the screen, who, with sadness in her eyes, is reviewing these videos filled with warmth. It is worth mentioning the acting of Paul Mescal, who was able to convey the moment of anguish of the soul of a young father, who is aware of the full burden of adult responsibility. Filigree camera work and a finely selected soundtrack skillfully immerse the viewer in that same summer.

“Explorer” (Explorer, 2022, 13+)

  • IMDb: 6.6.

Biographical documentary on the achievements of Sir Ranulph Fiennes. He absolutely deservedly can bear the title of the greatest explorer of our planet. Among the achievements of Sir Fiennes is a round-the-world trip from one pole to another, the search for the ruins of a lost city in Arabia, adventures with the still young Prince Charles, who not so long ago became king. The film also talks about his wife. She modestly called herself a simple housewife, but was the ideological inspirer of many of the exploits of Sir Fiennes. After watching a movie, there is a desire to get up from the couch and go on an adventure.
