The Deputy Minister of Health, Mina Gaga, sent a circular to the governors of the Health Regions (RIA), in order to inform the doctors of the supervised Health Units about the issue of the permanence of the NSS doctors.
The circular states the following:
“In order to avoid misinterpretations, we clarify that the permanence in the recruitments of the NSS is NOT abolished.
Law 4915/2022 (Government Gazette 63 / t. AD) adds the recognition of previous service in foreign countries, such as North America, Great Britain, Switzerland and Japan. This is a provision complementary to law 2889/2001 (Government Gazette 37 / t. AD) as amended by law 3204/2003 (Government Gazette 296 / t. AD) and is valid until today and based on this the previous service is recognized in its Member States. The European Union. That is, the addition that was made, concerns the previous service in third countries, and no other change has been made. The addition of the new countries (and Great Britain, due to exit from the EU) is the only change made in the provisions that apply to NSS doctors.
The paragraphs of laws 3754/2009 (Government Gazette 43 / t. AD) and 4316/2014 (Government Gazette 270 / t. AD), which stipulate that there is an individual judgment of doctors in the five years, are valid as in force from 2009 and 2014 respectively , and are not removed. That is, the positions are not re-advertised and the permanence is not abolished “.
