Operation against Ciro Gomes
The Federal Police carried out a search and seizure warrant against Ciro Gomes (PDT), former governor of Ceará and pre-candidate for the presidency, in an investigation into alleged irregularities in works to expand the Arena Castelão.
In his social network, Ciro classified the order as “abusive”, he claimed he had no connection with the case and said that President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) “has transformed Brazil into a police state that hides under a false cover of legality”.
Vaccination in children
Several European countries, such as Germany, Greece and Hungary today started vaccinating against Covid-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years, in an effort to combat the spread of the pandemic.
Suspended meat embargo
China lifted the embargo on Brazilian beef that had been in effect for three months. The Asian country will only import meat that is certified as of this Wednesday.
Sales to China, the biggest buyer, had been suspended in September after confirmation of mad cow cases in Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso.

The judgment takes place in a virtual plenary, in which ministers enter the vote electronically in the STF system. Barroso’s decision was taken last Saturday (11), in response to a request from the Rede Sustentabilidade party.
