The pre-candidate for the presidency Ciro Gomes (PDT) said on Monday (6) that the country will dawn “at war” if former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) wins the October elections. The ex-minister questioned the PT’s ability to pacify Brazil, given the polarization that PT leads against Jair Bolsonaro.
“Do you think that if Lula is elected, the country will dawn more or less pacified? The war will dawn, of course”, said Ciro in an interview with the Flow Podcast. “Do you think Lula is in a position to offer an agenda to fight corruption, which is a very serious problem in Brazil? He is not even in a position to touch the subject,” he said.
The pedestrian admitted again that he intends to be the second voting option of those who have reservations against Lula, but who intend to vote for the PT to defeat Bolsonaro. Recently, the pedetista campaign launched a jingle stating that “Many (voters) of Lula think of him in secret”.
In the interview, Ciro also expressed his intention to reach the second round against PT. “I want to show this person that I defeat Bolsonaro and I can defeat him even taking him out of the first round. Instead of voting with ‘shell and all’, swallowing all these contradictions, vote for me, and I’ll take Bolsonaro out of the second round,” said Ciro.
