the city hall of São Paulo reported this Friday (19) that the website Nota do Milhão returned to the air after being inaccessible for almost a week. It went into maintenance over the weekend and then became unavailable as of Monday (15th).
According to a statement from the Department of Finance, the invoice issuance system may still be somewhat slow due to the large number of simultaneous accesses. Until 10:00 am this Friday, more than 2.1 million invoices were issued, little more than double the daily average.
The platform is used by corporate service providers (PJ) to issue the note, and there is no other location available for the issue. The list of providers of services that can issue the invoice includes areas such as private education, decoration, communication services, language courses, parking and health plans.
In a note sent on Thursday (18), the city government stated that “after analysis, a bug (fault) in the supplier’s database manager was identified”, which caused problems on the website.
Launched in 2017, the Nota do Milhão is part of the “Sua Nota Vale 1 Milhão” program, which replaced the Nota Fiscal Paulistana. The objective is to encourage the population to request an invoice when hiring services in the city, through monthly draws in the amount of R$ 1 million, and R$ 2 million in December.
Also according to the city hall, an ordinance that was published today will still be valid, which determines that there will be no penalty in case of delay in issuing notes during the period of instability
If service providers are unable to issue the invoice through the website, it is possible to issue the Provisional Service Receipt (RPS) between November 3rd and 25th, which can be converted into electronic invoices until December 6th.
No site from the Municipal Department of Finance there is a tutorial with step-by-step instructions for preparing the RPS.
