City in Japan wants to limit to two hours a year that people pass in front of the screen

Authorities in a city in Japan announced this week that they want to limit the use of smart phones out of two hours on two hours a day, but this does not have to be compulsorily complied with. This threshold is proposed for all the residents of the city of Togyaak in Central Japan, but it will not be mandatory and if one overcomes it, they will not be in danger of a fine, according to the current version of the plan. This plan aims “to prevent excessive use of devices that cause problems in physical and mental health (…) mainly sleep disorders,” Mayor Massafumi Koki said in a statement issued today.
