The series “City of God: The Fight Does Not Stop” inspired by the award-winning Brazilian film from the 2000s, got its official trailer this Thursday (25). The adaptation shows the community ravaged by the dispute between drug traffickers, police and militiamen from the perspective of collective resistance.
The new production will have six episodes and will feature part of the original cast, as well as flashbacks with scenes from the classic feature film.
“City of God: The Fight Does Not Stop” arrives on the Max streaming platform at 9pm on August 25th . The production will release one episode per week, every Sunday, until September 29th.
The characters’ story will be resumed and told using Buscapé’s work as a photographer as a starting point.
Names like Alexandre Rodrigues , Thiago Martins , Roberta Rodrigues , Sabrina Rose , Kiko Marques It is Edson Oliveira return to the universe. The cast is also made up of new talents from communities in Rio de Janeiro, such as Cidade de Deus, Vidigal and Mangueira.
