City of SP may have moderate to heavy rain showers this Sunday (26)

Sunday (26) starts with few clouds and mild temperatures in the city of São Paulo. The average of 20°C is recorded by the network of meteorological stations of the Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE).

The latest meteorological radar images do not indicate areas of instability across the eastern range of the state.

Throughout the day, sun and cloud variation with moderate to heavy rain showers occur in the afternoon and at night. The maximum expected temperature is 30°C.

Trend for the next few days

The most recent weather forecast data indicate the continuation of the rains at the end of the month and beginning of March. The passage of a new cold front and subsequent formation of a low pressure system between the coast of São Paulo and Paraná will increase the humidity along the coast of São Paulo, metropolitan region and capital.

On Monday (27) the frontal system on the coast of São Paulo maintains unstable and rainy weather. The winds change direction and start blowing from the south/southeast quadrant, but without feeling cold. Temperatures vary between a minimum of 20°C and a maximum of around 28°C, with minimum percentages of air humidity around 60%.

The rains occur in the form of showers and more generalized, mainly from the beginning of the afternoon and extend into the night.

The soil soaked by the frequency of rainy days increases the potential for new landslides, floods, flooding, overflowing rivers and streams and possible gusts of wind, which may cause trees to fall.
