The Civil Defense warned about the possibility of heavy rains in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, during the night of this Saturday (9). In the early hours of today, the municipality recorded moderate to heavy rains in the Bingen neighborhood region.
The highest rainfall was recorded at the site, which had 25 millimeters of hourly rain, at 2:51 am, according to the latest Civil Defense bulletin.
There may be heavy rain showers this Saturday night (9). The rain forecast, however, remains throughout the day and can vary from light to moderate.
This morning, Civil Defense operational teams carried out preventive patrols throughout the city. The teams also sent an alert by SMS, by application groups and all the sirens of the Alert and Alarm System were activated to inform the occurrence of heavy rain in the city.
There was no record of occurrence due to rain this morning.
