Two civil police officers were arrested for Drug trafficking and money laundering This Friday (24), in São Paulo.
They were arrested during a joint operation of the Civil Police Corregedoria and the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) of the Public Prosecution Service of SP.
Agents sought to fulfill Five temporary arrest warrants and 14 search and seizure. The steps took place in the cities of São Paulo, Sao Bernardo do Campo, Santo André and Igaratá.
Three civil police officers were target of the arrest orders, two were arrested. The other targets remain at large.
Were seized firearms, cell phones, cash and other relevant items for the investigation.
Investigations indicate that, for five years, the suspects used companies to move millions of reais values incompatible with their formal income.
The Public Prosecution Service states that there is strong evidence that the resources had origin in the sale of drugs seized by police and their cronies during the exercise of their functions.
