They had the arrest converted into preventive this Tuesday (15) – on the same date a custody hearing was held.
The group was located and arrested by the police while participating in an annual meeting in the city of São Pedro de Alcântara, in Florianópolis.
One of those involved was booked for illegally carrying a firearm – he was also carrying ammunition.
Those involved are between 22 and 48 years old, one is from the state of Paraná, one from Santa Catarina, one from Minas Gerais, four are from Rio Grande do Sul, and there is also a citizen of Portugal, who participates in the neo-Nazi cell.
None of the arrested persons have been named. They must answer for the crimes of criminal association and racism.
At the site, the Civil Police found pamphlets, magazines and other objects that mention Nazism.
The investigations took place after the exchange of information between civil police and military police in the city of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, located about 20 kilometers away, to investigate a complaint that there would be a neo-Nazi meeting in the Greater Florianópolis region.
