The Civil Police arrested Inês Gemilaki, aged 48, and Bruno Gemilaki Dal Poz, aged 28, on Tuesday afternoon (23). Mother and son turned themselves in and are suspected of breaking into a house and killing two elderly people. The case occurred in Peixoto de Azevedo, 692 km from the capital Cuiabá.

Ines' husband, Marcio Ferreira Gonçalves, aged 45, and his brother, Eder Gonçalves Rodrigues, who are also suspected of involvement in the crime, were arrested this Tuesday.

On Monday (22), state authorities released posters with photos of the fugitives.

A CNN tries to contact Bruno and Inês' defenses, but has not yet located them.

The case

The two men killed at the scene were identified as Pilson Pereira da Silva, 80 years old, and Rui Luiz Bolgo, 68. The injured man, according to the police, is the city's priest. He remains hospitalized.

Last Sunday afternoon (21), the suspects broke into a house during lunch. They shot three people. Two elderly people died and a priest was injured in the approach. He underwent surgery and remains hospitalized, but is not at risk of dying.

According to delegate Anna Paula Mariem, the suspect entered the house to shoot the property owner. The main target, however, was only hit by shrapnel. The victims had no relationship with the perpetrator of the crime.

According to the delegate, Inês had rented the property from the owner, but left the place with debts, which generated a series of disagreements and a legal battle between the parties.

Before committing the crime, the three wanted men were at the Peixoto de Azevedo Police Station to register a police report against the owner of the property.
