The Civil Police of Minas Gerais started this Saturday (6) the collection of testimonies about the air accident that caused the death of singer Marília Mendonça and four other people. According to the regional delegate from Caratinga, Ivan Sales, the first person to be heard was the artist’s family lawyer, who provided clarifications about the company responsible for the aircraft and the contract signed for its use.
Now the police are trying to find witnesses who saw the vehicle fall. “The teams now take to the streets to qualify these people [possíveis testemunhas”, disse o delegado.
As equipes da Polícia Civil finalizaram a perícia no local, enquanto o trabalho das equipes do 3º Serviço Regional de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos seguem até este domingo (7). A investigação do caso ocorre em parceria entre os dois órgãos. Às autoridades policiais cabe responsabilizar possíveis culpados, enquanto o órgão da Força Aérea Brasileira tenta identificar os fatores que influenciaram o acidente.
“O trabalho da Polícia Civil é apontar a causa da morte das cinco vítimas, acompanhada do Cenipa sobre o que causou a queda do avião, se foi falha mecânica ou humana”, explicou à CNN.
O delegado Ivan Sales informa que, neste sábado, também foram recolhidos materiais das vítimas, como o violão de Marília Mendonça. Todos os objetos seguem para o Instituto Médico-Legal de Belo Horizonte para análise. A Polícia Civil vai aguardar os laudos de necropsia e também do local do acidente.
Avião bateu em torre de cabo
A Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig) informou que o avião bateu em um cabo de uma torre de distribuição de energia em Caratinga. Em coletiva à imprensa nesta manhã, o delegado Ivan Sales foi questionado se o fato influenciou a queda.
“Têm 20 e poucos anos que resido aqui em Caratinga e eu nunca recebi essa informação [de reclamação dos pilotos sobre as torres de energia]. It’s a fact that I’m not from the area, I don’t go to the airport here, but I’ve never heard any comment from friendly pilots, from aircraft owners here, complaining in this regard. What I know, what we can say, is that the airport is not marked, so that is why it does not operate at night and in unfavorable weather conditions. But this issue of wiring, I think it was actually an accident, which is not a common complaint here,” he said.
Cemig, in a statement released this Saturday, announced that the distribution line affected by the energy is “outside the protection zone of the Caratinga Aerodrome” and that it “strictly follows the Brazilian Technical Standards and regulations in force in all its projects” .
Investigations by the competent authorities will clarify the causes of the accident. The Company once again regrets this tragic incident and sympathizes with the victims’ relatives and friends.
