A Civil Police aircraft carried out the transportation of organs to transplant between Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of the state, and the state capital. The aerotatic service team (SAT) was called last Sunday (6) by the State Transplant Center.
The police team, along with the medical team, went to Ribeirão Preto (SP) to capture a liver and a donor kidney.
A plane of the Cessna Civil Police model made the journey to the state capital in half an hour. The aircraft landed at Campo de Mars Airport, in the northern part of the state capital.
After landing, the teams used the Civil Police’s Pelican helicopter to quickly move to the health unit in the south of the city.
According to SAT delegate Fábio Pimentel, each organ has a maximum time of ischemia outside the human body, so the need for speed in organ transportation.
The organ receptor was a 69 -year -old man who was in the transplant line. The surgery happened as soon as the organs arrived at the hospital.
