A civilian was injured in a knife attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, this Saturday (18), city police reported.
According to authorities, a preliminary investigation shows that a “terrorist” armed with a knife entered a restaurant and stabbed a civilian, who was “seriously injured.”
An armed civilian nearby shot and “neutralized” the attacker, police said.
Itai Atias, spokesman for Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA), said the victim, who is in his 20s, suffered a stab wound to the upper part of his body, adding that he was admitted to the Unit of Intensive Care (ICU) and is in “moderate” condition.
Earlier on Saturday, sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem after Yemen’s Houthi group launched a missile towards Israel.
