Clarifications of the DODONI dairy industry for the preventive recall of Plant’d vegetable desserts

DODONI dairy industry issued a statement on the precautionary recall of plant-based desserts “Plant’d” due to a quality deviation in raw material (pea protein) which is supplied by a third party, and used in the preparation of a vegetable product.

This specific action is carried out in collaboration with the EFET, following data communicated to the European early warning system for food and feed (RASFF).

According to the company, the recall concerns plant-based desserts under the brand “DODONI Plant’d” and specifically the codes Plant’d Oats (with expiration dates 5/7/22, 10/7/22, 19/7/22 and 2/8/22), Plant’d with Vanilla (with expiration dates of 5/7/22, 10/7/22, 19/7/22 and 2/8/22), Plant’d with Apple and Cinnamon (with due dates 5/7/22, 10/7/22, 19/7/22 and 2/8/22).

Consumers who have purchased the product in question are asked not to consume it and to return it to the points from which they bought it, while for any question they can call the company’s Consumer Service Line at 2142147100, or contact info@ dodoni.eu.

It is also clarified that “the quality deviation concerns a plant raw material supplier, which operates worldwide. The raw material in question is used as an ingredient in the production of plant products, and a substance was detected in it in a higher concentration than the permissible limits applicable within the EU . A fact that affects not only our own products, but also branded products of other European food industries”.

DODONI, with responsibility and consistency in terms of the continuous quality control of its products, cooperates from the first moment of notification of the issue with the competent authorities, always with a view to the safety of the consumer public and the high quality of its products, according to the same announcement .
