The facilities will host over 6,000 Bitmain Antminer S19 XP and S19J Pro+ devices. The acquisition is expected to increase the company’s hash rate by 1 Eh/s.
CleanSpark plans to reach 16 Eh/s by the end of 2023. The new facilities “will provide more than enough infrastructure for this,” said CEO Zach Bradford.
In May, CleanSpark entered into a contract to purchase 12,500 Bitmain Antminer S19 XP devices worth $40.5 million. The company’s equipment fleet now includes 67,700 devices. The firm has mined 2,395 BTC since the beginning of this year, which, at the current exchange rate, is $64.6 million.
“We continue to use the opportunities created by current market conditions to prepare for the Bitcoin halving next year,” said CleanSpark CFO Gary Vecchiarelli.
In February of this year, the company’s management announced its readiness to expand the business through mergers and acquisitions.
