Climate change triggered the number of dead from heatwave in Europe, according to a study

The pollution that warms the planet has tripled the number of deaths from the “silent devastating” heatwave that hit Europe in late June, according to an analysis that covered twelve cities, while experts warn of a deteriorating health crisis. Scientists, as the Guardian reported, estimate that extreme heat was killed by 2,300 people in 12 major cities, as temperatures were launched in Europe from June 23 to July 2. They attributed 1,500 of these deaths to climate collapse, which has warmed the planet and intensifying the already extreme weather conditions. The city most affected in absolute numbers was Milan, with 317 of the 499 deaths attributed to climate change, followed by Paris and Barcelona.
