Employees of MCST, a Russian manufacturer of microprocessors and computing systems, together with the developers of cloud products “Tionix” have tested hardware and software platforms for compatibility. To do this, employees of both companies created a working group that conducted a series of tests with various scenarios for using domestic equipment and software. It turned out that the products are technically compatible – based on the tests passed, a special certificate of compatibility was issued, which will be valid until November 2025.
It should be noted that the Tionix software testing was carried out on workstations equipped with Elbrus-1C + and Elbrus-8C processors. This equipment was used to run software for working with remote machines and desktops, which, according to Maxim Kuzmin, owner of Tionix, is extremely important for both hardware manufacturers and software developers. Also, engineers conducting tests on Russian processors said that MCST devices not only cope with the formation of high-quality images from remote desktops, but also allow working with user devices, tokens and peripherals.
In addition, the executive director of MCST Vasily Vorobushkov said that the partnership with Tionix does not end there – the manufacturer of domestic processors and computing systems plans to expand the range of cooperation with a Russian developer of cloud solutions. Perhaps, in the future, other models of the company’s processors will also receive a compatibility certificate for comfortable work with a remote desktop – based on the information presented at a recent event, future MCST processors will be much more powerful than Elbrus-8C.
