C’mon C’mon: the trailer for the new film with Joaquin Phoenix in preview

Johnny is a radio reporter who is very busy with a project that takes him around America to interview children about the uncertain future of our world. When his sister Viv asks him to look after his 8-year-old son, Jesse, Johnny finds himself on a journey with his nephew that will take them from Los Angeles to New York and, finally, to New Orleans. This is the premise from which he starts C’mon C’mon, the new film by Mike Mills premiered at the Rome Film Fest that we will see at the cinema next March.

To lend the face to the protagonist is Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix, perfect in portraying a middle-aged man learning to care for a child for the first time, making sure his needs are met and understanding how different they are from an adult’s. Johnny and Jesse find themselves together in a time of crisis, their time together is a journey that transforms their souls making them richer, able to look at the world with different eyes.

As they travel across the United States, the ups and downs of this personal and public odyssey turn into one glowing meditation on love, parenting and memory capable of involving the viewer in a human adventure with unexpected implications, in a reflection on the flow of life and on the pleasant moments and silent nights that make it up. The cast is very rich which, in addition to Phoenix, also sees the participation of Gaby Hoffmann and the baby Woody Norman.
