CNJ receives four complaints against judge in case of girl raped in SC

The National Council of Justice (CNJ), linked to the Federal Supreme Court (STF), received, until this Wednesday (22), four complaints against Judge Joana Ribeiro Zimmer, since she prevented an 11-year-old child, pregnant and rape victim, to have an abortion.

The judge left the case after being promoted, on May 15, to start working in the municipality of Brusque. According to the Santa Catarina Court of Justice (TJ-SC), Judge José Adilson Bittencourt Junior is the new person responsible for the action.

Seven CNJ counselors made a representation so that the body’s internal affairs department systematically monitors the investigations into Zimmer’s conduct. They treat the audience as “scabrous” and the stage for institutional violence against the girl.

The case was revealed in a report published by journalists Paula Guimarães, Bruna de Lara and Tatiana Dias, from Portal Catarinas and Intercept Brasil.
