Initiatives that contribute to a better and fairer world deserve to be publicized and CNN Brasil will recognize inspiring characters and stories developed in 2021 in every corner of the country. For this, the second edition of CNN Brazil Notables Award, with a multiplatform exhibition on March 20, will elect people, companies and institutions from different areas, which contribute to promoting advances in society and the common well-being. Among the main categories, the Personality of the Year will award the company, institution or individual with the most relevant project for society and the hero of the year goes to the individual elected by the CNN Brasil jury as a revelation for outstanding performance.
In total, there will be ten awarded categories. Those responsible for the projects can register for the CNN Brazil 2022 Notables Award until the day February 4th, in the following categories: Diversity (equity and inclusion); Social responsability (actions for a fairer society); Innovation (accessible solutions); Technology (innovative actions); Environment (sustainable and conscious future); Agribusiness (responsible development in the field); education (promoting inclusive and innovative education); and Health (quality of life initiatives).
The registered initiatives will be examined by a jury composed of people from different sectors, who are references in their respective areas of expertise. The judges will analyze and choose the winner of each category between days February 7th and 16th.
The awards ceremony for the 2022 edition will be presented by six journalists from CNN Brasil. the anchors Márcio Gomes and Luciana Barreto are already confirmed. Soon, the names of the other presenters, the venue of the event, the artistic attractions and the composition of the jury will be announced.
THE CNN Brazil Notables Award was created last year to recognize characters and inspiring stories and encourage other actions that make a difference in the quest for a better world. The first edition awarded nine categories of positive action that stood out during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the award hero of the year went to the intensive care nurse Monica Calazans, the first person to receive the coronavirus vaccine in Brazil. The choice was a tribute to the anonymous health professionals who worked on the front lines, saving the lives of millions of Brazilians.
