What was supposed to be a night of fun turned into a nightmare with more than 260 people dead. The international correspondent of CNN Anderson Cooper returned to the music festival site in Israel, after the terrorist acts carried out by the radical Islamic group Hamas, on the 7th.
The documentary “Terror in Israel”, which reconstructs the tragedy following the sunrise of that day, will be shown by CNN in this Monday (23), at 11:30 pm .
The rockets began around 6:30 am, when Hamas members fired at hundreds of participants.
The SuperNova Festival was one of several locations hit during the most sustained and coordinated attack inside Israel ever carried out by the extremist group.
In addition to those killed, other participants were taken hostage and kidnapped to the Gaza Strip — some of these abductions were filmed and shared on social media.

Featuring interviews with survivors and eyewitnesses of the attack and family members of kidnapped victims, Cooper details everything we know so far about the deadly attack and how this surprise attack turned into war.
To date, adding numbers from Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, more than 5,500 people have died since the start of the confrontation — of these, 4,127 are fatal victims in Gaza, according to a spokesperson for the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
A CNN, A search and rescue volunteer in Be’eri, an Israeli kibbutz that was attacked in the region, said dozens of bodies of victims of the terrorist attacks are still near Israel’s border with the Gaza Strip.
