Conclave

The conclave to elect the next Pope began this Wednesday (7), at the Vatican. In all, 133 cardinals participate in the secret vote that will choose the new leader of the Catholic Church.

Clerics are in isolation and should not communicate with people from outside the Vatican. Cellular blockers will be installed.

Thus, a chimney was positioned in the Sistine Chapel, where the votes occur.

If the smoke that comes out of it is black, it means that the cardinals have not reached consensus. If the smoke is white, it indicates that a new Pope was elected.
