On November 9, the navy “Kanaris” and the missile “Simitzopoulos” of the Navy conducted a passex (passing exercise) with the destroyer “Andrea Doria” of the Italian Navy, in the sea area southeast of Crete and south of Karpathos.
As announced today by the General Staff of National Defense (GEETHA), the joint training took place in the framework of international cooperation of the Greek Armed Forces.
During the joint training, objects of synthesis and exchange of tactical image, communications, progressive maneuvers, as well as helicopter detachments and attachments were performed.
The co-training, the statement added, helped to raise the level of operational readiness, combat capability and co-operation of participants in a bilateral and allied context.
