In Italy, the widespread culture of coffee is now well established and consolidated. We do not refer to the best espresso prepared along the boot but to the artisans who in their (often micro) roasts they enhance the varieties with completely personal blends, honoring the fruits of the coffee plants scattered in the corners of the world (especially Latin America and Africa). The craze forblack gold in the cup it has infected many admirers and there are more and more «coffee gourmet» to satisfy: there is curiosity, demand and excitement around the world of coffee, roasters, selectors and laboratories prove to be successful on the Italian market and today there is a decidedly wide choice and above all of quality.

A tricolor example of what has just been said, which combines research and interest in coffee, is Caffè Agust in Brescia. Since in 1956 Augusto and Mariarosa Corsini started with a small artisan coffee shop, beans have been ground, their motto was “the smallest roaster, the best coffee”. Growth has been exponential as well as success and passion: today they are the grandchildren of the founders, Giovanni and Daniele, to lead the company together with his father Marco, a family that Corsini has spent a whole life in the artisan work of good coffee.

The current and third generation made up of two brothers aged 30 and 24 could only keep up with the times and give their energetic and dynamic contribution to Agust: in fact, at the beginning of 2021, they decided it was the right time to complete a long journey that began years ago, giving birth to the EVO project.

This is a line dedicated to specialty coffee and single-origin coffees with precise and constant roasting profiles: the result is 2 blends and 8 single-origin coffees with distinct identity, very peculiar but always balanced, in which their idea of the evolution of coffee awakens: the Reserve 87 in which Arabica meets 13% of Robusta, and another made with Arabica only, la Reserve 100 (for both selection in plantation and post roasting).

Then there are the 8 individual origins from the main areas of the world dedicated to coffee, such as San Cayetano, an extraordinary blend obtained from double fermentation, very delicate and simple roasting that in the moka enhances its lively notes of wild berries.
